Professor Linlin Shen Shenzhen University, China Professor Linlin Shen received Ph.D. degree from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK. Prof. Shen is currently the “Pengcheng Scholar” Distinguished Professor at School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China. He is also an Honorary professor at School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham, UK and Visiting Professor at School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China. He serves as the director of Computer Vision Institute, AI Research Center for Medical Image Analysis and Diagnosis and China-UK joint research lab for visual information processing. He also serves as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the IET journal of Cognitive Computation and Systems. He is listed as the “Most Cited Chinese Researchers” by Elsevier, and listed in a ranking of the “Top 2% Scientists in the World” by Stanford University. He received the Most Cited Paper Award from the journal of Image and Vision Computing. His cell classification algorithms were the winners of the International Contest on Pattern Recognition Techniques for Indirect Immunofluorescence Images held by ICIP 2013 and ICPR 2016.

Professor Xinde Li Southeast University ,China Xinde Li (M’09-SM’16) earned his Ph.D. in Control Theory and Control Engineering, from Department of Control Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in 2007. Afterwards, he joined School of Automation, Southeast University, Nanjing, China, where he is currently a professor. He was an Academician of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences elected in 2020 and a cover person of Scientific Chinese in the same year. He was a vice director of Intelligent Robot Committee of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence from 2017, a vice director of Intelligent Products and Industry Working Committee of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence from 2019. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Robot, Machine Perception and Understanding, and human-robot interaction, etc. He has undertaken many national key projects, i.e. National 863 key project, JKW key project, etc. and has published more than 80 high quality papers and 2 books, and owns 17 national invention patents. He also won many prizes, i.e. international contribution prize, Scientific and Technological Progress Award in CAA, etc.

Professor Nick Freris University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) Nick Freris is Professor in the School of Computer Science at USTC, and Vice Dean of the International College. He received the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 2005, and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, the M.S. degree in Mathematics, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering all from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2007, 2008, and 2010, respectively. His research lies in AIoT/CPS/IoT: machine learning, distributed optimization, data mining, wireless networks, control, and signal processing, with applications in power systems, sensor networks, transportation, cyber security, and robotics. Dr. Freris has published several papers in high-profile conferences and journals held by IEEE, ACM, and SIAM and holds three patents. His research has been sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Anhui Dept. of Science and Technology, Tencent, and NSF, and was recognized with the National High-level Talent award, the USTC Alumni Foundation Innovation Scholar award, and the IBM High Value Patent award. Previously, he was with the faculty of NYU and, before that, he held senior researcher and postdoctoral researcher positions at EPFL and IBM Research,respectively. Dr. Freris is a Senior Member of ACM and IEEE, and a member of CCF and SIAM.

Professor Guoqiang Zhong Ocean Universitiy of China,China. Guoqiang Zhong received his B.S. degree in Mathematics from Hebei Normal University, Shijiazhuang, China, his M.S. degree in Operations Research and Cybernetics from Beijing University of Technology (BJUT), Beijing, China, and his Ph.D. degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA), Beijing, China, in 2004, 2007 and 2011, respectively. Between October 2011 and July 2013, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Synchromedia Laboratory for Multimedia Communication in Telepresence, University of Quebec, Montreal, Canada. Between March 2014 and December 2020, he was an associate professor at Department of Computer Science and Technology, Ocean University of China, Qingdao, China. Since January 2021, he has been a full professor at College of Computer Science and Technology, Ocean University of China. He has published 4 books, 4 book chapters and more than 100 technical papers in the areas of artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, machine learning and computer vision. His research interests include pattern recognition, machine learning and computer vision. He has served as Chair/PC member/reviewer for many international conferences and top journals, such as IEEE TNNLS, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TCSVT, Pattern Recognition, Knowledge-Based Systems, Neurocomputing, ACM TKDD, AAAI, AISTATS, ICPR, IJCNN, ICONIP and ICDAR. He has been awarded outstanding reviewer by several journals, such as Pattern Recognition, Knowledge-Based Systems, Neurocomputing and Cognitive Systems Research. He has won the Best Paper Award of BICS2019 and the APNNS Young Researcher Award. Dr. Pushpendu Kar University of Nottingham Ningbo China, China Dr. Pushpendu Kar is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (China campus of the University of Nottingham UK). Before this, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of ICT and Natural Sciences at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.
