| Prof. Assaf Schuster, IEEE Fellow, ACM FellowIsrael Institute of Technology, IsraelProfessor Assaf Schuster has been a faculty member of the Technion Computer Science Department since 1991. He has been interested in various aspects of parallel and distributed computing, publishing more than 170 papers. His algorithms on data-race detection were implemented in Intel’s Thread Checker, and his patents on distributed shared memory were sold by the Technion. His papers triggered a rewrite of the Java Memory Model. He has built scalable production systems to handle petabytes of storage with off-the-shelf hardware. In recent years, his research group has focused on big data and scalable, real-time knowledge discovery in distributed data streams. From 2010, Prof. Schuster has also been working to establish TCE – the Technion Center for Computer Engineering, which he heads. |
Prof. Yudong ZhangUniversity of Leicester, UKProf. Yudong Zhang is a Chair Professor at the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, University of Leicester, UK. He is the Fellow of IET, Fellow of EAI, and Fellow of BCS. He is the Senior Member of IEEE and ACM. He is the Distinguished Speaker of ACM. He was the 2019, 2021 & 2022 recipient of Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher. He has (co)authored over 400 peer-reviewed articles. There are more than 50 ESI Highly Cited Papers and 5 ESI Hot Papers in his (co)authored publications. His citation reached 22936 in Google Scholar (h-index 84). He is the editor of Neural Networks, IEEE TITS, IEEE TCSVT, etc. He has conducted many successful industrial projects and academic grants from NIH, Royal Society, GCRF, EPSRC, MRC, Hope, British Council, and NSFC. He has served as (Co-)Chair for more than 60 international conferences (including more than 20 IEEE or ACM conferences). | Prof. Yanguo JingLeeds Trinity University, UKProfessor Dr Yanguo Jing is the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Computer Science and Digital Industries, Leeds Trinity University. He is a Professor of Artificial Intelligence. He has a PhD (Heriot-Watt University, UK), a MSc, a 1st class BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. He has over 20 years’ teaching, research and enterprise experience in the UK and in China. Yanguo is a Certified Management & Business Educator, a Fellow of the British Computer Society, a Charter IT professional and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK. Prof. Jing’s prime research interests are AI and big data. His recent research work focuses on the use of machine-learning methods to capture interaction and user behaviour patterns that can be used to develop intelligent applications. This research has been applied in applications such as business analytics, sports analytics, and user behaviour pattern recognition in social networks and extra-care/ Assisted Living settings. He participated in several research, KTP and consultancy projects with sponsors and clients such as Cadent Gas, Pfizer, Welsh Government, KPIT, UK’s Comic Relief charity and JISC in the UK. |
